Abrazo Studio / Guest teaching

Invite a guest dance instructor and offer private lessons

Attach a guest to the exact class, event, or residency, collect their approval, and review their request for a private-lesson inquiry button.

Updated

Start with the exact class series, Studio event, or residency where the guest will teach. The source needs a title, complete dates, a named time zone, a venue, and the teaching dates included in the invitation.

The guest reviews a secure invitation and can respond without an Abrazo account or a public Artist profile. After accepting, the guest can ask to add a private-lesson inquiry button to that exact Studio page.

Prepare the teaching context first

Open the class or event and complete its teaching details, or plan a guest residency from Guest teaching. The invitation stays attached to that source so the guest can see the dates, venue, role, and page where their details may appear.

Invite the guest to review

Choose an existing guest instructor from Team or create a Studio-only guest record with their name and recipient email. Set the teaching role and optional Studio bio, choose the included teaching dates, review the summary, then send the invitation.

The guest can accept, request a change, or decline. Accepting the page details stays separate from employment, an Abrazo account, and the guest's Artist identity.

Let the guest request private inquiries

Once the engagement is active, the guest chooses whether to request an inquiry button. They can add a public note and send the request to the Studio. Review the exact page and reply route, then approve, request a change, or decline.

The current option sends an inquiry. The Studio replies about times, price, and payment. Managed scheduling and payment for guest privates are planned for later.

Step by step

Work through the task

  1. 1

Open the exact class series or Studio event, or create a guest residency from Guest teaching.

  2. 2

Complete the title, dates, named time zone, venue, and teaching dates.

  3. 3

Choose Add guest and select an existing guest instructor or enter a new guest name and email.

  4. 4

Set the teaching role, requested public details, and included teaching dates, then send the invitation.

  5. 5

Wait for the guest to accept or respond with a requested change.

  6. 6

After the guest sends a private-lesson request, open the engagement and review its public note, page, audience, and reply route.

  7. 7

Approve the inquiry button when the request is accurate, or send a clear change request back to the guest.

Common questions

Does the guest need an Abrazo account or Artist profile?

No. The guest can review and respond from the secure invitation. Connecting an Abrazo account later is optional.

Who decides whether the guest offers privates?

The guest starts the private-lesson request. The Studio then reviews the exact public page and inquiry route before the button can go live.

Can dancers book and pay for the private in Abrazo?

The guest engagement currently supports an inquiry button. Times, price, and payment are arranged after the inquiry. Managed guest booking is planned for later.

Why can I not see Guest teaching?

Guest teaching must be enabled for the Studio, and your role needs Team access. Ask a Studio owner or administrator to check both.
